Pardot Marketing Automation
Pardot is marketing automation software. Marketing automation supports us in finding out the product interests of our users, improving the information offered on our website and providing users with more relevant information.
Ethcon GmbH uses Pardot as a marketing analysis service that enables us to maintain, measure and optimize communication with our website visitors. Based on the findings of the analysis, we can continuously optimize the website content.
When you visit our website, Pardot Marketing Automation records your click path and uses it to create an individual usage profile using a pseudonym. Cookies are used for this purpose, which enable us to recognize your browser. By confirming the cookie acceptance banner, you consent to the use of Pardot cookies. You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect. In addition, you can deactivate the creation of pseudonymised usage profiles at any time by configuring your Internet browser so that cookies from the “pardot.com” domain are not accepted. Deactivating these cookies can restrict the functions and user-friendliness of our offer.
Ethcon GmbH only stores personal data from website visitors who request information or offers on products and services, who have registered on our website, who have registered to receive the newsletter. The forms on our website are linked to Pardot Marketing Automation. Voluntarily provided and transmitted personal data is first stored in Pardot in order to then be processed with the Salesforce CRM system for the purpose of establishing contact and / or sending information. Salesforce does not save any IP addresses, but uses the individual allocation features “unique visitor ID” and “unique identifier”. The following link provides detailed information on how Salesforce processes your data when you visit websites: https://help.salesforce.com/articleView?id=pardot_basics_cookies.htm.
Emails sent through Pardot use tracking technologies. We use the data obtained through tracking to find out which topics you are interested in. The tracking records whether you have opened our e-mails and which links you click. We use this information to optimize our e-mails and the services we provide. You can ensure tracking by Pardot through your browser settings.
The legal basis for data processing using Paradot Marketing Automation is Art. 6 Para. 1 f GDPR, whereby ethcon GmbH’s authorization arises from the fact that ethcon GmbH has an interest in evaluating the website’s usage data in order to further improve its own offer and the website and to adapt it to customers. In addition, the data subjects can reasonably foresee that their personal data will be processed accordingly by ethcon GmbH.
Use of script libraries (Google Web Fonts)
In order to present our content correctly and graphically appealing across browsers, we use script libraries and font libraries such as. B. Google Webfonts ( https://www.google.com/webfonts/ ). Google web fonts are transferred to your browser’s cache to avoid multiple loading. If the browser does not support Google Web Fonts or prevents access, the content is displayed in a standard font.
Calling up script libraries or font libraries automatically triggers a connection to the library operator. It is theoretically possible – but currently also unclear whether and, if so, for what purposes – that operators of such libraries collect data.

Embedded YouTube Videos
We embed YouTube videos on some of our websites. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plug-in, a connection to YouTube servers is established. In doing so, YouTube will be informed which pages you are visiting. If you have deactivated the storage of cookies for the Google Ad program, you will not have to reckon with such cookies when watching YouTube videos. However, YouTube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you want to prevent this, you have to block the storage of cookies in your browser.

Our website uses Google conversion tracking. If you have reached our website via an advertisement placed by Google, Google Adwords will set a cookie on your computer. The conversion tracking cookie is set when a user clicks on an ad placed by Google. These cookies lose their validity after 30 days and are not used for personal identification. If the user visits certain pages on our website and the cookie has not yet expired, we and Google can see that the user clicked on the ad and was redirected to this page. Every Google AdWords customer receives a different cookie. Cookies cannot therefore be tracked via the websites of AdWords customers. The information obtained using the conversion cookie is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who have opted for conversion tracking. The customers find out the total number of users who clicked on their ad and were redirected to a page with a conversion tracking tag. However, they do not receive any information with which users can be personally identified.
If you do not want to participate in the tracking, you can refuse the setting of a cookie required for this – for example via a browser setting that generally deactivates the automatic setting of cookies or setting your browser so that cookies from the domain “googleleadservices.com” are blocked.
Please note that you must not delete the opt-out cookies as long as you do not want measurement data to be recorded. If you have deleted all your cookies in your browser, you have to set the respective opt-out cookie again.
